Registration

Registration packets will be provided upon check-in to the Hotel. For those not staying at the Benson Hotel, Registration will be open on Sunday from 12:00p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Monday from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m.

Technical Tours

  • Mill Plain Boulevard Adaptive Control System 
    This tour will include a driving tour of the Adaptive Control System along Mill Plain Boulevard in Vancouver, WA.  The City of Vancouver recently implemented an adaptive control system for 12 intersections along Mill Plain Boulevard.  The system includes MIST, OPAC, and VS-Plus.

  • City of Portland Signal Priority
    Portland has a long history of providing signal priority for transit.  The light rail system, MAX, began service in 1986 with high priority or preemption at many of the signals in Portland.  The technical tour will focus on the traffic engineering portion of signal priority, which includes a review of the signal operations in the field and the corridors that have used priority within the City.
